Oliver Marsden is an award winning journalist, photojournalist and videographer working globally but currently based in Beirut, Lebanon. Most recently he has been covering the Israel/Gaza conflict, the ongoing war in Ukraine, the Sudanese refugee crisis in Chad, the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan following the coalition withdrawal, the economic collapse of Lebanon and the explosion in the port of Beirut. Before this he was in Ghana documenting the effects of plastic pollution on the fishing community of Nyanyano. His particular interests are the MENA and West Africa, covering conflict, humanitarian issues, civil unrest, and climate change. He has an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the LCC, studied Arabic at SOAS and news writing at the London School of Journalism. He has completed a 4-day Hostile Environment Training Course with First Option Safety.
